about
An illustrated and musical fairy-tale book on the meeting of a Wolf-Woman and a musician oak.
In the forest with silvery swirls, the midges, wolves, dwarves and mandrakes enjoy the minstrel tree's melodies.
Night and day, its branches join the wind to compose love songs that one day attract the Wolf-Woman, a half-wolf, half-human woman, chased by hunters for her fur...
At a time when art and culture vanish into space and time, three artists, all passionate about whimsical and peculiar stories, get together to create a new fairy tale.
Everything starts at the end of the summer, Julie, the novelist, sits in her garden in Charente, while Kramies, the musician, in his mountains of the far Appalachians. Thanks to the magic of the internet, they joyfully chat about fairies, dwarves, trolls, cats, forests, almond croissants and ghosts.
The author sends her writings to the musician who starts composing the soundtrack of the story. New technologies and messages carried by birds take part in the birth of the work. The talented Cécile Vallade, living not far from the novelist's vegetable garden, joins the happy gang to enchant the notes and the words with her magical drawings.
Needless to say that when the winds spread snippets of the story to Eidola editions, the editor catches the project to imagine the shaping of the book.
The four friends combine ingenuity and talents to bring to life this rare and magical musical book, Legend of the Willow.
